The Indonesia Australia Business Council (IABC) is the principal membership body for companies and individuals doing business between Indonesia and Australia. Formed in 1989 through the merger of DKSPIA and the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia, it is based at CentreSpace on the 3rd floor retail podium of World Trade Center 3 on Jl. Jend. Sudirman, sharing the same Sudirman hub as several other foreign chambers.

The council's stated purpose is to promote people, investment and trade links between the two countries: enhancing bilateral business connections, communicating investment opportunities, providing networking forums and advocating for member interests with government. In practice that means a steady calendar of business luncheons, breakfast briefings and joint chamber events, including joint gatherings with AmCham, BritCham and other Commonwealth chambers, women-in-business luncheons and Ramadan networking iftars.

IABC is deliberately convivial rather than formal, and its Executive Board is elected by members every two years. Beyond Jakarta it maintains branches in Central Java, East Java, Bali and Yogyakarta. Partners include the Australian Embassy Indonesia, KADIN Indonesia and the IA-CEPA Katalis programme.
