Eka Hospital BSD is the flagship of the Eka Hospital group and the main international-standard hospital for the expatriate families clustered around BSD City, Serpong and Alam Sutera, close to several international schools. It opened in 2008 and earned Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation in 2010 - at the time the youngest hospital in Indonesia to do so - which remains the benchmark most international insurers and employers look for.

The hospital is built around eight centres of excellence: cardiology, cancer care, orthopaedics, digestive intervention and endoscopy, diabetes and metabolic care, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics and urology. It has more than 200 beds across five room categories from Standard to President Suite, around 65 outpatient consultation rooms, a 24-hour emergency department, intensive care, and an infection-control-led building design. Staff at BSD are used to treating international patients and consultations are commonly conducted in English. The hospital works with a wide range of corporate and insurance partners; confirm direct-billing arrangements with your own insurer before treatment, as coverage terms differ by policy.
