Australian Independent School Jakarta

The Australian Independent School (AIS Indonesia) was established in 1996 and runs its Jakarta campus on Jl. Pejaten Barat in Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, a short drive from the Kemang, Cilandak and Pejaten expat neighbourhoods. Together with its sister campus in Denpasar, Bali, AIS educates more than 600 students from preschool (age three) to Year 12.

Teaching follows the Australian Curriculum (ACARA) across primary and high school, with the Early Years Learning Framework underpinning preschool. In Years 11 and 12 students choose between the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, individual IB courses, the school-based AIS Diploma, or a hybrid pathway, and vocational education and training (VET) options are available for students not heading directly to university. Students also sit Australia's NAPLAN literacy and numeracy assessments.

AIS Jakarta is fully accredited by the Council of International Schools, has been an authorised IB World School since 2014, is licensed by the Indonesian Ministry of Education as a Satuan Pendidikan Kerjasama (SPK) school, and is a founding member of the Australian International Schools Association. It is the natural fit for Australian and New Zealand families seeking curriculum continuity.
