The Goethe-Institut Jakarta, known locally as Pusat Kebudayaan Jerman, is Germany's official cultural institute in Indonesia. It sits on Jl. Sam Ratulangi in Menteng, Central Jakarta, and is the main place in the city to learn German in a structured way, whether for work, study in Germany or a family move.

German courses are offered at all levels, in extensive, intensive and super-intensive formats, as well as online courses, specialised courses, and classes for children and teenagers. The institute is an official exam centre for the Goethe-Zertifikat from A1 to C2, and also runs TestDaF and the Goethe-Test PRO, with digital exam options available. The language course office is open Monday to Friday, 09:00-18:00.

The library is free to use and opens seven days a week (Monday to Friday 11:00-21:00, Saturday 11:00-19:00, Sunday 11:00-15:00). It lends books and media, offers more than 20,000 digital titles through the Onleihe service and runs a "library of things" for borrowing equipment. Alongside teaching, the institute runs a cultural programme of film, music and art collaborations that is open to the wider expat community.
