West Jakarta Immigration Office (Kantor Imigrasi Jakarta Barat)

The West Jakarta Immigration Office (Kantor Imigrasi Kelas I Khusus Non TPI Jakarta Barat) is the Directorate General of Immigration's office for the western side of the city. Since August 1995 it has occupied its own building at Jl. Pos Kota No. 4 in Pinangsia, Taman Sari, in the old town (Kota Tua) area. The office states that its working area covers six sub-districts: Kembangan, Kebon Jeruk, Palmerah, Grogol Petamburan, Tambora and Taman Sari, which takes in Puri Indah, Kedoya, Meruya and the other West Jakarta neighbourhoods where many expatriate families live near the area's international schools and hospitals.

For foreign nationals, the office's website has pages covering visit stay permits (ITK), limited stay permits (ITAS) and permanent stay permits (ITAP), changes of status from ITK to ITAS and from ITAS to ITAP, change of sponsor, dual position, the Multiple Exit Re-entry Permit (MERP), exit permits, transfer of a permit to a new passport, birth and death reporting, proof-of-funds reporting, and matters relating to children with dual citizenship and to citizenship, along with its schedule of PNBP (state) fees for stay permits. Requirements and fees are set by the Directorate General of Immigration, and many foreign residents use a sponsor's HR team or a visa agent to prepare applications.

Alongside the main office, West Jakarta immigration runs passport service units in the basement of Lippo Mall Puri and on Jl. Daan Mogot No. 95C in Kebon Jeruk, and an Immigration Lounge on the LG floor of Mall Taman Anggrek.
