An international move into Indonesia is mostly a customs exercise. Import rules on used household goods are strict, and a shipment that arrives before your KITAS can sit at Tanjung Priok running up charges.

The movers here handle door-to-door sea and air removals, customs clearance, storage and office moves. Many also offer home search, school search and settling-in help. Look for FIDI/FAIM accreditation.

Sea freight from Europe or North America takes six to ten weeks, so book a pre-move survey early.

In the business district, AGS Movers has its office in Revenue Tower, SCBD, with staff who speak English, French and German.
